ERCA, the European Rubber Chemicals Association, represents the major manufacturers of rubber chemicals in Europe. ERCA is a Sector Group within Cefic, the European Chemical Industry Council.
ERCA’s main objectives

Partnership – From rubber producers to its users
ERCA works closely with the downstream users association ETRMA
(European Tyre and Rubber Manufacturers Association) on a range of issues including:
- Finalisation of the Generic Exposure Scenario (GES)
- Wastewater issue in the rubber tyre manufacturing
- Degradation products of rubber chemicals in rubber manufacturing
- Environmental risk during service life of tyres
- End of life of tyre and rubber goods
- Classification and labelling of ERCA substances according to the CLP Regulation
- EU risk assessments
